![]() When people talk about bloat as if it's a bad thing, I honestly kinda wonder why they don't just use the bits they need and ignore the ones they don't. Basically what I used to do on the 1k, but way, way quicker and easier. I feel like it's a box that can go very deep, but I only really use it in a very superficial way - chop, jam, and bounce out the loops. I had a 1k for around 5 years and also have an S3000XL and an Isla S2400, but for me if I quickly want to put together a few chops and drums the Live is the one I turn to. ![]() I don't really get that tbh, but we all have our own preferences, experiences and goals, etc. It’s a real shame folks are giving up.īeing able to play guitar well is one thing, being able to listen to a half decent completed track you made yourself…that shit is priceless. But I stuck with it and I, at very least, like the shit I hear now (ymmv, but I like it). I came from that path and I was, def, a bit discouraged when I realized how wrong I was. ![]() If the expectation is that it’ll be easy, well, it’s easy to want to give up when you realize the MPC is not a magica banger box.īut I wish folks would stick with it. ![]() Probably a bit of a shock when they realize there’s a huge difference between laying down a simple beat and making something they actually like. I think a lot of would be producers are definitely under the mistaken impression that electronic/sample based music must be easy because it’s “not a real instrument”. Well, turns out the fantasy was more comfortable and easy than reality. Folks think they want one because they’ve always wanted one but when they finally get the money to actually get one…. ![]() I’m told you see a similar thing with motorcycles every fall. ![]()
